Dr. Schiffer trained at Harvard first in cardiology and then in psychiatry at McLean Hospital where he has remained on staff first as an attending and then as a researcher. His second book, GOOD-BYE ANXIETY DEPRESSION ADDICTION AND PTSD: THE LIFE CHANGING SCIENCE OF DUAL-BRAIN PSYCHOLOGY, has recently been hpublished and the company he founded to develop his clinical applications, MindLight, LLC, has been awarded a large grant from NIH for a clinical trial to study his novel treatment for fentanyl addiction. He has a private practice of adult psychiatry in Newton, MA.
